A Funny W&M Story

Today, a funny thing happened.

An American visitor was talking with us in the office, and he asked me where I went to school back in the States. I said William & Mary, and he responded, "Really! I can't believe that!"

"My name is Bill, or William, and my wife's name is Mary. I don't have any connection to the school, but years ago when I proposed, I called your school so I could order a sweatshirt for us that read 'William & Mary.' You're the first alum we've ever met!"
