Oh Hey, Honduras

Entries: October 2011 - Present

Hey there!

I'm Carrie. If you're new here, then mucho gusto. If you've been a longtime follower of the blog, then gracias. I'm glad you're still reading. :)

So far, I've blogged to you from an amazing year in Guatemala and then from a reflective layover in my hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. In Louisville, the constant question was "Now what?" -- and now I have that answer.

This time around, I'm blogging from Honduras!

I'm working for NPH (Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos) again, and I couldn't be more excited. As an international nonprofit, NPH provides a permanent home for orphaned, abandoned, and at-risk kids in 9 different countries. I'm living at their Honduras site, the beautiful 2,000-acre Rancho Santa Fe, and I work as the home's Fundraising Projects Coordinator.

It's a new country, a new job, new travels, new people, and a new adventure. When I left Guatemala, I didn't feel quite ready to stop adventuring. So, after long and careful consideration, I decided -- why should I?

Come on, you know what I'm going to say. :) After all, you only live once.
